Hair You want to look beautiful on your big day; you want your hair to look great. In this page we provide you with our advice on finding the perfect hairstyle for you and great ways to get your hair into tip top condition for your wedding day. On the day of your trial it’s a good idea to have some pictures of hairstyles you like; this is a good way of communicating to your hairdresser and showing her what you want. Try not to have washed your hair on the day of your trial, and avoid it even further on the day of your wedding. Freshly washed hair is very silky and shiny, this makes it very difficult to style and put up as the clips and grips tend to just slip through the hair. You don’t want your beautiful style just falling out, so day old hair is good for styling! Tell your hairdresser everything you know about your hair at your trial, these things could be useful to us when trying to find a suitable style for you and when giving you advice. For example tell your stylist if your hair is dry or greasy, if you have any growth patterns like a nape whirl, or a widows peak, (a hairdresser probably would have pointed these out to you if you had them when cutting your hair) let your stylist know if you have tonged your hair before and tell her how well the curls lasted. Your wedding hair trial is advised for many reasons. The trial gives you time to get to know the stylist, so you feel comfortable with her. It gives you the chance to discuss any hair worries or ideas so we can give you advice. You get to see your hair up in the style you have chosen, so you know if you like it and are happy. And it also gives you and your stylist the information you need about how well the style will last. Everybody’s hair is different, a style that lasts all day on one person may not last on you, curls can last for days on some hair but fall out within hours on others. A trial gives you the chance to test your style and let us know what happened. If you chose to have curls but they dropped a little more than you would have liked, tell us and we will know to use a stronger styling product or come back to do another trial with you and test another way of achieving the curls. Don’t be afraid to tell us if something didn’t work, we need to know so we can work with you to fix the problem, and give you 100% piece of mind! Have your tiara and veil at your trial so you can see what they look like with your chosen style, also some people choose to have fresh flowers in their hair, we can arrange this with you and bring the flowers to you on the day ready to be put into your hair, discuss this with your stylist at your trial. We also retail other hairpieces and ornaments, talk to your stylist to see what we have to offer.
