Hints & tips for curly haired girls.
Having been "blessed" with curly hair as I'm always told, here is some advise on how to look after and make the best of it.
Curly hair is dryer than straight hair, so a good conditioner is very important.
I always tend to use an intensive conditioning mask every time I wash my hair.
Have regular trims, every 8-10 weeks is best if you are trying to grow your hair
or every 6-8 if you want to keep the length you have. This will help keep split
ends at bay as they make the hair harder to handle, and cause it to be weak
and snap off.
Never use a brush on curly hair unless you are blow drying it straight, brushes
encourage frizz and they will snap and break curly hair. A wide toothed comb is
a much better option.
Be gentle with it, curly hair is quite delicate and needs to be handled with care
even when you are angry because it won't do what you want.
Serum is a life saver, I use this miracle product every day. Warm it between
your hands and smooth over the length of the curls to calm down frizz and
make the hair glossy.
Leave in conditioner is also another good option for curly hair, spray it on after
washing your hair to make it easier to comb. It will also give added protection
against sun, wind and pollution which all affect your hair's health.
